The project entails improving pedestrian facilities in the neighborhood by installing benches and trash cans.

Það vantar fleiri bekki í Hvassaleitið fyrir eldri borgara. Í Hvassaleitinu er lítið um bekki og oft á tíðum erfitt fyrir eldri borgara að fara í göngutúr vegna þess. Eldri borgara þurfa að geta sest niður og hvílt sig með reglulegu millibili. Sérstaklega á göngustíg á milli Kringlunnar 17 og Hvassaleitis 28. Þar er skjólsæll reitur sem gott væri að geta sest niður og hvílt sig.
