The project entails making Meistaravellir greener by adding plants and trees.

Gatan meistaravellir er í dag tvíbreið gata með breiðu miðsvæði. Lítill gróður er við götuna og aðeins ein gangbraut liggur yfir hana. Mikilvægt er að auka öryggi við götuna fyrir gangandi vegfarendur m.a. vegna þess að tvær strætóstoppistöðvar eru við hana. Aukinn gróður myndi einnig bæta umhverfi götunnar og veita skjól. Lagt er til að miðsvæðið verði fjarlægt og gatan þrengd, trjám plantað beggja vegna götunnar og gangbrautum fjölgað.
